I was born in Louisville, Kentucky. Home of the Kentucky derby and bluegrass. I moved to St. Petersburg, FL at six, and my love for the ocean has been alive and well ever since. My adulthood has brought me many adventures, living in Denver, Greece, North Carolina, and I now live in Los Angeles, CA. My journey to full time photo began as a little girl, going with my dad to his shoots. He’s a photographer and graphic designer for an agency in Louisville. I modeled for a lot of his shoots when I was younger, and I loved being behind and in front of the camera. Art has always drew me in in so many forms. I’ve tried just about everything, I went through a big knitting phase in middle school, was obsessed with calligraphy and hand lettering in high school, and the college years I dabbled in leather goods and watercolor. Photography has always been my first love and the art form I always go to to express myself. Over the years, I’ve pushed back on photography being a business for me. I wanted to preserve my creativity while growing as an artist. Over the years, I’ve grown to realize, the more I keep myself and my business small, the more disservice I do myself and others. As I’ve embraced my business and since moving to Los Angeles, being full time, I’ve given myself permission to be the photographer I’ve truly always wanted to be, since I was a little girl, watching my dad at shoots.
